vehicles: converted gas mining vehicles. One attempted a
ram and detonation, successfully destroying a supply truck.
The other was blown up before it could reach the convoy.
In turn three/four, the Federal cavalry escort as well as the
small garrison were doing a gallant job in their attempt to
protect the convoy but three trucks had been destroyed so
far and things were looking very grim.
Several missile strikes had neutralized the drone teams in
the tower and early on in the battle, the convoy commander
had been killed when his command vehicle had been
destroyed.
The Sergeant Major who had assumed command after the
convoy leader’s demise, had placed several calls for help to
Firebase Cleopatra and the QRF was on its way: Five Harpy
VTOL gunships!
