Warlords Club game January 2015
The game set up
Participation shindig I ran a party game at the Warlords Wargames club in January 2015. Alan ran his Hashemite Army including Desert Raiders detachment, Jim his Hiroseki National Army. Against them Mike and Paul ran three detachments of the TAS advance police units. All knew The Crucible rules to varying degrees and the game was to be played in just over two hours on a regular club night. The Game We played a game on an 8 by 6 table and ran the two forces: The Hashemites had Major Zeid in charge (Elite skills: Inspirational Leader; Command Material and Blitzkrieg) with a standard Lieutenant for the other detachment and the Hiroseki had Major Okuninushi (with Elite skills Defensive Stalwart and - with all of their officers - a communications technician). Their other detachment had a standard Lieutenant (albeit with the +2 cor the Comms skills). In addition, Hiroseki fight as Commissars (supplement 4) and the Desert Raider detachment has extra speed and difficult terrain skills (Leadfoot and Pathfinder). Objectives for the game was the taking and holding of two hydroponics greenhouses full of valuable drugs witch both sides were arguing over. Deployment was along the long edges of the table and a large set of roads was used - all three of my Tomica cardboard roads plus a set of tesco hard plastic ones, plus the usual array of buildings, lakes and the monorail.
