Attack on the Solace Monorail - a Club Night game in 15mm
Solace Freedom Fighters air trucks advance down the road on the left flank The table layout Heavy ACV (repainted Matchbox hovercraft) Solace Regular Army MICV (GZG Gauntlet) advances past the station Solace Militia in place on the tower tops overlooking the monorail
These are some shots of a game we played at the club hall in 15mm. There are 5 detachments of Solace Army Regulars, Militia and Freedom Fighters plus 2 detachments of the Waldheim Dragoons in play. The pages will include an ‘After Action Report’ - i.e. what went on during the game. I will also include details of the scenery where appropriate plus other information. Details of the painting of the Solace forces can be seen on these pages. These are GZG vehicles for the armour and mostly Old Crow vehicles for the flying transport. Figures are almost all GZG with a few Rebel Miniatures thrown into the Freedom Fighters for variety. Building shots of the monorail can be seen here. This was largely scratch built with track from plasticard, smashed toy cars and cork chips plus supports from Ainsty Castings, extra details (aircon units and doors, vents and such like) from Antenocitie and GZG plus an ‘N’ guage model railway building sat on blocks made of Lego. The tower blocks are more ‘N’ guage model railway buildings and the lower structures are scratch built from scrap (desk tidies and so on). More shots of the Waldheim Dragoons can be seen throughout the site (like here). Finally the AAR can be viewed as a simple PDF here. Many thanks to Peter Merritt, Tim Atkinson and Kevin Dallimore for playing the Solace forces and to Kevin for painting a lot of the buildings. John Treadaway
