Vehicles, Technology, and Equipment (continued) All of the hover vehicles, excepting the electrically-powered CN44, are driven by 1-meter lift fans which are fed by Maybach fusion bottles.  In general, the Brigade uses electro-motive weaponry:  22cm discarding sabot railguns for the Surucucu HHTs, 4cm dual-feed gauss-cannon on the Caatinga HAPCs and Cotinga Light Hover Tanks (the latter AFVs were initially armed with 3cm gauss auto-cannon but this was changed just before the Sulewesi contract).  The infantry also use EM weapons:  coil-guns and impellers ranging in size from carbines and assault rifles to general-purpose machine guns and 40mm grenade launchers which are often mounted on the CN44 hover jeeps.  The Brigade, while well-equipped in its line companies lacks substantial fire-support assets.  They have only twelve lorry-mounted MLRS systems for the entire outfit, though each infantry company fields two jeep-mounted medium mortars and an additional two platoons of Cotinga-mounted heavy mortars can be fielded at the battalion-level. Though the Smoking Cobras lack indirect fire-support, they field numerous calliopes, (generally twin 3cm quick-firing powergun rigs) and guided-missile launchers on a Cotinga chassis. The Smoking Cobras have above-average electronics and AI systems for both their dismounted personnel and their AFVs.  The infantry wear heavy torso armour and advanced helmets as well as wearing mimetic fatigues.  The armoured vehicles are typically painted in an attractive tan/golden-brown/olive/grey disruptive pattern, though many of the “softskins” are normally left in a standard tan or olive scheme.
