Painting the Terran Authority Starmarines Police (post 348TW)

Infantry on Skimmers These are the figures for the ‘Advanced Police Mobile Infantry Detachment’. Armed with powerguns and advanced buzzbombs they are a fast and hard hitting infantry unit. These are the USNC grav bikes from GZG and are mounted here three models to a base though, to be honest, as the models themselves are quite large, they could easily work as either two models to a TU base or just put them on a bigger base... These are painted using Army Painter sprays: Army Green for the riders and Crystal Blue for the bikes (they were sprayed separately and then assembled before varnishing). Both the riders and bikes were also dry-brush highlighted, then washed in the coloured inks from Army Painter (Green and Blue respectively) and then the figures were further more dipped in a tinted varnish. Plastic bases with Basetex and grass tufts were added in the usual way. The white metal bases supplied with the bikes were trimmed to go onto the bases and the bikes themselves drilled to accept their posts to engage more solidly with the models. The whole bike and rider were then assembled with super glue and dipped in Future and black ink to line them. After being matt spray varnished, the bike instrument screens and lights, plus the figures helmet visors were given the usual silver with a coloured lacquer over the top approach. Buildings are by Brigade Models and scratch built.
