Painting the Slammers Up-Armoured Blowers in 15mm

Figures These were painted, as I said earlier, with Army Painter Desert Yellow spray and then picked out in darker browns. Rather thn my usual method - a dip in Army Painter Strong dip - I brush washed them in Army Painter Strong INK, then had visors added in silver with a top coat of Tamiya clear smoke lacquer. The Ink/Dip option seemed to make little difference to the end result but I prefer the smelly dip: I think it gives a slightly better result and - as I don’t have to brush it on - is marginally quicker (and more thorough). Final Assembly The figures were slid carefully into the cars using tweezers and superglued in position. The roofs were then fitted which are very snug to the top of the heads of the gunners (but I knew that from last time). After fixing one of the spare control panels from the Combat Cars into the jeep, the jeep crew were slid into position as a pair and glued in place. John Treadaway
