Gun Truck I wanted the gun truck armament to be removable for troop transport options so two crew served weapons were mounted on more corrugated iron panels and the crews stuck onto them later. This again requird the crew to be cut from their bases but the guns were a little too fragile for this so they stayed on their round disks, as supplied. I had built an MLRS launcher on the same Volvo chassis but put less armour around it. I’d mounted this onto the rear deck of a Brigade vehicle whicgh I had filed to fit and glued into the rear of the carrying portion of the model. The fir and balance weren’t great and they all needed some filling and extra weight on the rear of the MLRS to counter balance things: this was added from the spares box Minecraft The Dump truck had it’s cab windows reenforced with mesh and the ‘shipping container’ box mounted in the load carrying area, along with some scale ladders for access. Painted figures were then all stuck in position on the vehicle and I was done building. Final weathering was added. I sprayed the underside using a dirt colour from Army Painter’s airbrush range. I added dirt in the wheels from Bastex as I wanted to get the effect of grit – not just paint – in the treads of the huge wheels. Finally the models were spray matt varnished. Army Painter on the vehicles and Testors on the figures.
