Cecach Federal Army - continued The infantry use conventional, assault rifles, firing glass cored bullets with optical sights which are effective out to 300m using switchable coloured tracer to aid aiming in poor light. They also use a combined Grenade Launcher which can function as a Light Mortar, shoulder launched Buzzbombs and heavier, ground mounted (but still man-portable) ATGW missile systems. They wear disruptive patterned uniforms, especially the 'Veteran' Intruder Unit. Garrison troops tend to be poorly trained although similarly equipped to the more fanatical Morale and Intruder units, although they don't use the Maczek MBT as they concentrate mainly on holding static positions. They do, however, employ heavy lasers in emplaced positions with the latest - and highly sophisticated - targeting and cooling systems. Oltenian Eagle Legion troops are employed to supplement the Garrison troops but the offensive troops are, as the war progressed, largely superseded by mercenaries like Podele's Lions and Fasolini's Company. The forces on Cecach had many commanders for their extensive army but the 522nd Garrison Battalion was commanded by the religiously motivated Commandant Friis.
