Cecach Republican Army By the mid Cecach war period, the Republican forces used the Forges de Milhaud Catroux L118 APC. This is a ten wheeled vehicle, with a drive system offering considerable redundancy - Catroux APCs have been seen driving with up to five wheels completely missing - and they are quite well armoured for their size: the L118 can carry up to twelve infantry plus crew and, in addition, the L118 fields a 6cm Auto-cannon in a turret, making it a viable infantry combat vehicle. The Catroux L996 Tank Destroyer is built onto the same drive train and hull as the L118 but swaps the APC capability and turret for a remote 9cm Automatic cannon with a HSW. The 9cm is fast firing and capable of destroying most of the Federal vehicles but struggles against the Maczek MBT. The 'Slon' 20cm MLRS Artillery is also built onto the same vehicle but uses a boxed 20cm MLRS system, which can select direct fire, fast missile rounds or operates as a mortar for ballistic fire. The final Catroux design in use is the 'Tygrys' L17 - a fast firing, twin barreled, rapid-fire heavy cone-bore for AAA duties. On the same ten-wheeled drive train, but with a heavier armoured hull, is the Gamelin L46 Medium Tank. This has a turret mounted 9cm Railgun with a HSW and is capable of destroying the likes of the Maczek MBT. In addition to these vehicles, the Republicans use light vehicles, usually the 4 wheeled variety like the Javelot. These are used to transport small numbers of specialists - like sniper teams - or are armed with a variety of weapon systems including either Twin Heavy Support weapon, a rotary Gatling weapon or light Manta missile launchers. Republican Infantry use identical weapons to the Federals (the weapons they brought with them, in fact) but they do have two obvious differences: their uniforms tend to be mono-coloured 'Taupe' and they employ snipers using heavy Conebore weapons, some of whom are very highly skilled. Units on the ground tend to be led by Chaplains - including Chaplain Bittman: they fight with some degree of zeal but - like many of the Federals - are only kept in battle by harsh discipline and sectarian motivation.
