Throughout the late 340’s, the Hashemites were in an
uneasy peace with the Sincanmo. Tribal raids - both vehicle
born and using the traditional Lizard Mounted desert
raiders - still impacted into the Northern territories.
To counter this the Hashemite ruleing council set up
various ‘fast response’ units and one of the best of these
was led by Major Ibrahim Zeid.
An inspirational commander, Zeid had also been a leader in
the drive to an upgrading the Hashemite forces and one of
his approaches was to train his men in rapid deployment
and fast movement over the tricky terrain. He wanted to
make his forecs less reliant on mercenaries.
