The chalks are great for adding
subtle shading if you don’t own (or
can’t be faffing around with) an
airbrush. But they do go absolutely
everywhere! The orange Standard
Rust seemed to show up all over
the ground whenever (later on) I
was dry brushing which was a
pain.
To avoid the powder coming loose,
it needs fixing which I did using a
coat of Testors Dullcoat spray can
varnish. That did keep most of it on
the model where it ought to be.
The model was laid aside to dry
and I stepped outside to get some
fresh air as the Dullcoat has not
got a pleasant smell.
Oh and it’s apparently quite
dangerous. And banned in the
UK...
