THE SHOW We had the opportunity to take a 6mm Slammers game to the specialist 6mm show called The Joy of Six, held in Sheffield. The vehicles and scenery were entirely supplied by Tony Francis of Brigade Models (I only own a handful of 6mm vehicles myself) so it was a fun day and we met a lot of interested folks, some from the Facebook page. FORCES The Slammers and their allies the United Defence Batteries plus the Stewart Regiment, were tasked with attacking a Hashemite stronghold. However the Hashemites – two full detachments – had employed some mercs of their own: these were two detachments of the Bushmasters for artillery support, the Guardforce O’Higgins (with some Fianóglach specialists), Some Division Legere and an understaffed detachment of the Lighting Division). Timeline wise we were set in the later period so that meant late Lightings with heavy Blowers and late Slammers/FDF with all of the elite skills bells and whistles (elite skills and so forth meaning lots of LPs) and some up armoured M2A4UA Blower tanks. It was going to be a full table but - of course - that’s the advantage of playing a 15mm scaled game with 15mm playsheets and measurements but 6mm forces: it doesn’t look too full!
