Painting the Marvelan Confederacy Enforcement Corps
Spray primer and top coat Army Painter Skeleton Bone primer was sprayed over everything.  Army Painter Army Green was then sprayed through a fabric mask held tight over the models. A further spray of AP Monster Brown was added through a sheet of paper with holes cut into it. Wheels were masked with circular pieces of masking tape cut from a roll with a template and a scalpel. All 42 of them... Secondary weapons were left natural white metal and shaded with black washes. Stowage After basic painting came the stowage. I bought pre-painted items from Hobby Master in 1/72nd (as usual) but added very little. This was glued on and then the shading started. Dipping The stowage was dippedin Army Painter Strong Tone dip and then sealed with Future/Klear (floor polish). When dry I added decals from various historical sources. Matt varnish After all that work had dried I reached for the Testors Dullcote. After that metal highlights were added using Shining Silver and lenses for vision blocks and lights using Tamiya clear lacquers. Despite sealing the dullcote reacted with the AP dip again so I can see that I am going to have to review my policy of using that on large flat surfaces.
