Slammers press homeThe Hashemite Zulfiqar usedtheir ECAPs to give out some hits but they suffered from some withering fire from massed tribarrels from combat cars. Silvio also moved his infantry forward: he lost one to fire but the rest dealt out real damage with just their sidearms backed up by buzzbombs. Silvio found he could fire down on to the roof of lighter vehicles with powergun rifles and do a lot of damage...Goodbye Thunderbolt 1As the battle progressed the Slammers managed to wipe out the Thunderbolt unit in the downtown and then – when they got to the monorail – the Hashemites there finally broke and fled after failing a morale roll. Having said that, at that point, there weren’t many left of the National Brigade, however them leaving did close down their MLRS which had been pecking away from the rear. In all fairness, though, it had been having less success after losing Leadership points to the extent that they couldn’t ConFire to improve their chances to hit and no longer had a forward observer.Enter - and exit - ZeidAs the Slammers fought one flank, Major Zeid raced his desert raiders around the Zocalo hotel and down the main road towards his arch enemies the Sincanmo. After an impressive turn of speed he was cornered by Sincamo Garaad’s on one side and Slammers infantry firing from the roof tops on another. That went very badly and ended Zeid’s chance of making Colonel in a big ball of flames.
