Heavy APCThe I-M44 Lynx Heavy APC is a very well armoured vehicle being based on the Cougar MBT hull. It carries a rapid firing Twin 2cm Auto-cannon and may carry 12 infantry in addition to its crew but is is only fast enough to keep up with the tanks. The I-M44C command variant has a less effective single barreled support weapon and may only carry four infantry, but is better liked than the lighter Chariot: it does still have a weapon system. The I-M44M(L) is a fast firing win mortar variant. This carries no infantry with the space taken up with munitions but is effective in the support role. The I-M48 Lynx Fire Support variant swaps the remote support weapons for a commanders turret with a simple 2cm gatling railgun which is slightly more effective against armoured vehicles but, because of the turret - has less space for infantry: only four. This was generally seen as a poor decision as a vehicle but some were converted to act as controllers for remote drones. The I-M48RC carries no infantry squad but instead may control up to three ‘Palug’ remote controlled vehicles within short range. One I-M48RC with one Palug counts as one TU. Two further Palugs count as a second TU.Remote DronesThe Palug IV remote drone is a small wheeled vehicle that carries shoulder launched, ‘buzzbomb’ type anti-armour weapons. Range to successfully control these is quite short and the range of the weapons themselves is no better so-unless they can be set up in an ambush or other advantageous position - typically in a built up area- they suffer badly.
