A Mini-Campaign game - Apex Dragoons v Solace Regulars
Apex Dragoon Detachment advances Solace 'Elite' Regular Army MICVs take hits losing both vehicles and weapon systems Apex Dragoon Detachment has its advance halted by withering fire from remaining Solace vehicles and suicidal Buzzbomb squads Solace Elite Regular attack vehicles move forward and open fire Solace Regular Army MICVs on the right flank take hits defending the objective building
By the second turn, the Solace forces had already taken a bad beating and were rallying where they could – using rapid fire and burning out at least one set of gun barrels in the process – but,  by the third turn, the Apex detachments were using light ATGW missiles and tank guns against buildings (and causing casualties to the troops inside them) as they were running out of suitable hard targets to shoot at. The Freedom fighters tried using some of their minimum buzzbomb squads against the Apex vehicles using rapid fire to double their rate of fire at the risk of causing injury to themselves (if something goes wrong they get a misfire and take a supplression marker). They scored some degree of success with two more vehicles damaged and another destroyed but fell foul of the hard suited Apex Infantry who deployed from their APC. More of the Solace untrained hoards were hiding behind their vans waiting to pounce with Molotov cocktails but were suppressed and rendered ineffective by having their transport barricade explode next to them under a hail of light ATGW attacks. Seriously injurious to both health and morale! Finally, the Solace regulars – both detachments – had to take morale tests because they had both taken more than 50% casualties. Inevitably, some ran. The ‘Elite’ (ok, Veteran) unit had lost its senior commander as had the larger Regular cavalry detachment. The latter had even lost their insurance sergeant! This meant that they were, leadership wise, down to a regular sergeant. For the last two turns the whole Solace force had so little ‘command and control’ left they were virtually paralyzed.
