To increase offensive firepower, ATGWs would have been a good alternative for an MICV in the tank killing roll but, frustratingly for the Stewart forces, the missile production facilities on Kalan all fell within the Hiroseke sphere of influence when hostilities broke out, denying them this opportunity. Even with Apollo and Artemis rolling off of the production lines - the Stewart Governing Council (SGC) still did not have enough fighting kit to equip their forces. They got around this problem by importing some outmoded tracked AFVs from New Ukrainia. Uralvagonzavod were very happy to supply them with outdated Kunitsa APCs from their reserve stocks (for a price) which the SGC Hardgate Industries then converted into prime movers for their Tyche towed Anti- Tank weapons, which used the same Rail Gun main weapon as fitted to their Apollo tanks (though without the auto loader). To do this they retained their carrying capacity (although somewhat cramped) of around eleven infantry and gun crew but the vehicle was slowed by having to tow the gun system, so the Hardgate Industries yards fitted more powerful, locally produced engines to keep the speed of these vehicles up to an acceptable level. The Kunitsa was armed with a Ukrainian made 1cm gatling weapon and has a rear loading ramp and top hatches for egress.
