I painted some detail spots of
colour - control panel buttons and
the odd electrical cable and such
like. Even though they didn’t get
varnished - coming, as they did,
after the last layer of Dullcoat -
they were hardly in areas likely to
take heavy abuse to the paintwork.
I used the Tamiya Clear Smoke to
add oil/fluid seepage to a few
areas - the bottoms of some doors,
the big metal barrel and the
pipework made of straws. This
adds to the general run down look
and - as it’s glossy when dry -
helps catch the eye with some
sparkly features and details.
